  8. This is the Beatles album that most sounds like a sweaty, raucous night in Hamburg or at the Cavern. The band never did a better job on their cover versions than they did here -- John's vocal performances on "Please Mr. Postman", "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" and "Money" rank with his all-time greatest.
